Those scales don't do that blade justice IMHO.

Hey Tom,
I am not crazy about aluminum scales in general, but I must say that this one turned out rather nice. Good work. At the end of the day, it's you, as the user should love it...The rest of our opinions doesn't count .

Thanks, Guys! Love it or hate it, One should hold it in hand! The bare, polished aluminum is very light, but not as cold as it looks, and the etching gives it a solid feel. Reminds of shaving with a thin set of ivory and a tight, heavy Sheffield blade! An extremely solid feel. A thing I have noticed is how consistantly tight the pivot is. As a precision instrument. JMHO ! Thanks!

I rest my case.

Any fibre liners between the blade & scales ? As an ex-mechanic I used to see plenty of rusted Astons that had aluminium bodies & steel chassis. Always been uncomfortable about aluminium since then but it looks great

Very nicely done Tom. What a beauty! I coat of some type of wax on the scales, maybe Ren wax will keep the aluminum from tarnishing and keep them shinny.
