    Default Back for another 200?

    Duane sent me this stubby. It had a cracked rear scale. Plan #1) Original scales, tapered in the back, a little blade buffing. Plan #2) If the originals shatter during the restore, new scales in black horn, same shape.

    After very careful bits of time here and there, Plan #1 was a success. These are the original scales, tapered in the back, and re-pinned with some old W&B stacks. Those originals didn't stand a chance, and were in really rough shape.

    Nice save on those scales. I think you did just the right amount of restoration on that old beauty.
