Here's a little vid of the work done, and still to do.
Was a nice day, so I dusted off the drone.

Quite an impressive sized yard for a city dweller.
Nice work on the yard. You will have to fix your green house up for the new laws coming into effect spring of 2018.

WoW Mike - very impressive, nicely done!
Was it your "summer project" or one of your honey do's?

Thanks Shaun. Had to move north a ways to afford the size of lot we have now.
That old storage shed would make a terrific greenhouse frame, hehe.
I was just planning to tear it down, but come 2018, maybe Colorado Gold for three months a year..

Still planning a use for all the torn down cedar rails, and the fire pit area will be up by the Willow with all the repurposed flagstone. Not sure how much more I can get done this season. Just going to tackle it level by level I think..

And thanks, it was the summer face lift around the pool. The rest will be as time allows.

I'm guessing that was a drone you were operating there .... really looked geeked out Mikey

Not that there's anything wrong with that

That's a very cool, flying by the seat of your pants video with a First Person View.
The pool area looks fantastic. Did you do the perimeter wall too? Those are some mighty heavy looking blocks.

Yup Mike, I'm an uber geek when I'm flying. It's why I don't take it with me out in public much, hehe.
The goggles tie into the drone camera so it's exactly like being in the left seat and the control sticks have a wifi booster on them so it gives a 2 km distance which is theoretical at best as you only have about 8-10 minutes flying time per battery. It does give some awesome aerial vantages though.
And regarding the stone work, we had a guy bring in all the new retaining wall material, rear and front yard.
Holding back a lot of earth. 40 limestone rocks, each weighing around 2000 lbs stacked and packed.
This reno was aimed as a permanent solution to the back yard water and drainage issues we have lived with over the years. Weeping tubes routed behind the walls and off property, and the river rock beds around the wall also part of the drainage solution.
Pouring out there today and everything is flowing where it should.
