Pick you up on the way Jerry.:tu:tu...I'll take the scenic route.
Well, just take IH-10 over to San Antonio on your way to Colorado Paul. We'll all show up at Mike 's house and take that car out for a spin.
Installed the toe plates permanent like tonight, as well as the manifolds, alternator, and carbs.

Some may recall I cut a second steering column hole by mistake on the passenger plate. Well seems the original builders were channeling from the spirit world again I think.
Here is where the throttle pedal, still to be built needs to connect to the carbs.

And damn if from this close up angle it doesn’t pretty much line up with my ‘mistake’ hole.

Should work out very well and look pretty damn oem ta boot, linkage wise.
And the jury is still out if the carbs will clear the bonnets still, will have to run without those big filters, a given. But it’s gonna be close.
May not need to upgrade to Mikuni carbs after all.

May still want to for performance reasons, but that can wait till she’s running again to decide.
Cheers.
They are sticking out a ways. Crossing my fingers they fit.
Maybe a custom Mike built aircleaner may be in the works.
Maybe a custom Mike EFI conversion will be in the works for next winter as I really take a good look at the manifolds and intake system….
MAF sensor, MAP, O2 and a basic map. Fuel rail tapped into the top of that aluminium intake array as well as a common intake plenum,,,,
Haven’t seen it done, but doesn’t mean it can’t be..
Imagine the gains,, hmmmmm.
Now your talking! Doing some serious change-overs.
I have heard a mechanic say that he believes that the reason engines go more miles now is mostly due to EFI. These days engineers have gotten it pretty well figured out.
I got a picture of your next project. You just have to tow.it from Denver to your place...
