When I took off from the San Diego area and headed to Tucson to visit with a friend and member of SRP I stopped in a place called 'Datewood' AZ at 11 am for fuel for the bike and some water for me. They had a bulb style thermometer that was in the shade and it was 106 degs F.

I have no idea how frigging hot it was when I landed at my friend's place in Tucson at 3:30 pm but it was HOT!!

Possibly the 1st (2-stroke?) and positively that 2nd bike is a Harley Aramacchi from Italy.
The even put on a 250 motocrosser wannabe at one time. Valuable!

I had a 350 single Aramecchi model called an 'SS'.
Got it running and had to beat off the Harley nuts for it. For their girlfriends or kids.
2 days after I got it going it was gone!

I suppose they are OK but I read a short list of the failure rates of different motorcycles. The Yamaha V-Star was best at 11% and the worst, at 40%, was a Can Am.

Very limited numbers around here. I know one guy, and he has been super happy with his. I guess 4/10 are unhappy. Not great odds if the numbers hold true. My brother runs the same brand of quads and is also very happy.

Lots of Can Am bikes around here. They are cool looking but i think they would be better if the from wheels leaned into a turn. Still a cool bike if your wanting a 3 wheeler.

Today I took the Harley out for the first time for a real drive. 77 miles of country roads. It is a very stable bike, nice!

When my daughter was very young, I decided I would not ride again until I was confident I could rides sensibly. Two years later I went for a ride, and sold the bike the next day. Granted it was not a road bike, but I rode those like a maniac too. I’m glad you have the sensibility to ride in a responsible manner.

Ok we’ve spent time together, I know we ain’t buddies from way back, but do you think I’m a sensible rider? One of my bikes has enough get it in to scare some of these crotch rockets . And have been know to replace a lot of tires, and I,m older than you Shaun, some of us never grow old, and to be honest it’s a lifestyle for most who are like me. I don’t ride cages unless absolutely needed, but I really think you have to know yourself, and if it’s not right then it’s best to leave alone, I’ve spent my time in hospitals because it but I’ve never once given a thought to giving it up.
