    Anybody here a watch buff?
I'm a poorly funded one... My pride and joy is a Steinhausen Marquise... I like it a lot. I'm toying with getting a "really good" replica of an uber brand name... leaning toward a Tag Heuer replica, maybe a Breitling or Doxa...

I have a Omega Speedmaster (work watch) and a Rolex Submariner. Don't even get me going on the railroad pocketwatches....

I've been collecting pocketwatches for many years. Mostly American railway Grades but also have a fair number of wristwatches mostly vintage Seiko's. At one time I had a bunch of swiss and german wristwatches but I sold just about all of them. I got fed up with high prices and poor quality.

I have a thing for stainless rolex datejusts and presidents as well as patek's but I'm a long way from being able to afford one at the current prices.

    Hey Bigspendur,
What does 16 size 21 jewels adjusted for five positons, OF with a Montgomery dial mean to you?

Oh yea... I have a bulova pocketwatch as well... forgot about it since it's a quartz movement not "automatic" or wind up.
I'm totally sold on automatic movements/wind ups... for years I didn't wear a watch every day, and when I would decide I wanted to for whatever reason the one I wanted always had a dead battery.
Someday I hope to have a "real" high end watch...
I'm into cars so stuff like the Tag Heuer Carerra, Omega Speedmaster, really appeal to me. Not to mention Breitling for Bentley.. some nice ones as well.
I'm not into flying or diving (yet) so the features of a Doxa or Breitling are overkill for my needs... I would like the chronograph and tachometer functions.
