How do you tie ties?
Comments in the T&H master barber video thread made me curious, so on with the poll. I was going to call this "how do you tie your tie," but maybe some members are tying ties for others.
I'm curious about what sort of knot each of you uses. I don't feel like making this a huge poll, so I'll only use what appear to be the four most common knots (four-in-hand, half-Windsor, Windsor, and Pratt - see How to Tie a Tie - by To Tie A Tie .com). If you are unclear on what knot goes with what name, take a look at the link. I'll also leave an option for other, and ask you to clarify and, if possible, post a link to images or a tutorial of the knot.
Since I'm asking, I'll start - I use a Pratt knot. At the time I was learning to tie a tie, it was the easiest for me to tie well, and I've stuck with it since then.

Thanked: 43I voted other, because the knot I use depends on the collar.

Thanked: 77I've thought about trying a Full Windsor for my shirts with wider collars, but haven't yet... probably be good for shortening my longest tie too.

I use a half windsor. In the video you are discussing, in which I was only joking, the tie ends are not connected. The short end should be tucked into the long end, or should have a tie tack holding it in place. In other words, there should not be two ties, one long and one short.

I use a half Windsor most times since I don't like spread collars and very rarely wear one. It also depends on where I make my tie. I work very early in the morning and sometimes I go into work with my tie open around my neck. If that is the case I use the 4-in-hand since it is quick to make.

I voted full winsor (#3). I didn't know there was more than one way to tie a full winsor.
The Corps taught a four-in-hand knot but my Daddy taught be the full winsor long before I joined the Corps. Of course I used the four-in-hand while in the Corps.

Four-in-hand growing up and for highschool, now a Prett - wanted something wider, more classy, but not as full as a full windsor.

I don't.
Don't know how. The very rare occasion when I wore a tie (when I was a best man), my wife tied it for me.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I voted full Windsor because I like the symmetrical knot. It isn't always appropriate for ties with a lot of substance to them, in which case it's back to the 4-in-hand.
