Any AR-15 owners in here?
Just curious to see if anyone else owns an AR-15. I bought a DPMS Panther Lite AR-15 about a year ago and absolutely love it.

I was going to get a Bushmaster flattop match once but I reload and did not want to chase brass everywhere. I ended up getting a bolt action heavy fluted barrel varmint zapper instead. One hole groups are nice.
The only semi auto rifle I have is an AK. Cheep ammo and I don’t reload it so I don’t chase brass. It is an interesting rifle (read that as junk). You can’t bust them but that is because the tolerances so wide. That makes the action sloppy and accuracy suffers, bad. 9 inch groups at 100 yards. It will hit a torso at that range (which is what it was made for) but forget using it for anything serious.

I'm an AR-15 owner as well. I have a Coleman-Tyler lower receiver (manufactured by Mega) and a del-ton 16 in flat top assembly. It's got a nice free float, tangodown vertical front grip, magpul collapsible stock, and 2 magpul pmag magazines.
It shoots great, and they make some sweet looking rifles

My sister's ex-husband left behind a Chinese SKS that I cleaned up and shot a couple boxes from. It is beautifully simple --- and I wouldn't mind one if I had to run for the hills but not accurate enough for my liking. I never have shot an AR-15 but would like to.

My girlfriend bought me a Chinese SKS for my birthday. I've since added a bayonet to it and a detachable Tapco 20 round magazine. It's certainly not as accurate as my AR-15 but I still enjoy shooting it.

This one had a scope with a mount welded on --- don't know why it was welded but I removed it as I like using open-sights and it did have a strange bayonet (not knife shaped).
It was a blast to shoot -- mild recoil but pretty damn loud ----- and cheap to shoot as well. The coolest thing about the SKS and AK is the look . I felt like joining a revolution somewhere ........
But overall from what I know about myself I would probably be a AR-15 (M-16) guy --- they seem like beautiful little guns.

Bushmaster here.....with some mods done by myself. Changed things around last winter and am very happy with the results. Shown here with my USP.

I wish I had an AR but now my budget doesn't even strech to another SKS. Mines a yugo, and with it I can do sub-four inchers at 100 with off the shelf ammo.

The Yugo's are mighty fine shooters! I have one myself that I enjoy plinking pumpkins and tin cans with!

Thanked: 1I have a 16" middy on a Spike's lower. YHM quad-rails, Ergo grip, MAD BUIS. I built it a couple of years ago, and absolutely love it.
