The movie is cool, haven't read the book yet, but now it is on my To Read list.
One of my prized possessions is a copy of A J Smiths "Dark Crystal", yes the one Jim Henson did a movie of. I can still remember the first time I saw DC and Labyrinth, got totally hooked and have replaced them many times over the years too.

If you even slightly liked the film then you'll LOVE the book. There's soo much more in there including stories on Inigo and Fezzik, Buttercup, and everyone in the film. (You'll also notice that they miscasted Prince Humperdinck horribly).
Seriously. I gave the book on a loan to a friend of mine who liked the film and he went and bought the book even before he finished it. He wanted to have it himself THAT bad.

Thanked: 131It has suddenly come to me. We are all talking about the books we have read- all seem avid readers. What do any of you think about setting up a book chain? I mean everyone sending a book of theirs that they recommend onto the next person in the chain. This process continues every 'x' many weeks giving everybody a chance to read each others books. We all learn each others tastes in books and can comment on them without having to buy them all. A book club on the cheap if you like.
So what do you think? Is this a brain wave or a brain fart? If you are indeed interested then tell me and i'll try to set this up.
