    Default I have tatts-toos!

I started getting ink while in the service. Thankfully after a few pieces I found a much better artist and am continually adding great work. As of now I have pretty much completed two half sleeves, but hope to expand to have a full "cape" of chest work w/ a full back piece.

All of my tattoos "mean something" for me and I take pride that they are not simply flash picked off the wall (not that there's anything wrong with that if it's your thing, just not for me.) I drew them all over several months prior to actually laying in the chair. I love the traditional work, especially because I don't think it will look "out of place" on me when I'm 80. If it does, oh well.

If this whole straight razor thing becomes a success, I might have to add a razor!

Nice work! The clock, rat and stats around them look recent.

    Thanks for the compliment!

They are all "recent" in the pics. The only pics I have specifically of the tattoos were taken when they were around a week old respectively. I'd just always wait for them to heal a bit then take pics. Now that you mention it though, I need to sit down and take updated pictures of them sometime, I just haven't. I think the oldest I have are about 8 years and the most recent were around a year ago. I usually make 1-2 trips per year if I can manage.

I finally found an artist that has stunning portrait work in my area and have commissioned him for my next piece which will be an sr. I want it to be close to photo realistic as apposed to cartoon stylized. We spoke about going black and white but after a couple photos I wonder if it would look good to include some of these colors that show up in the reflections. Here are some photos of the placement and the reference picture I have.

I would sincerely appreciate any input, artwork or suggestions. Does anyone have experience with portrait style pieces with color? I have a six month wait for my appointment so though I am happy with what my artist and I have come up with so far I would not hesitate include anything I hadn't considered.

Anyone got some crazy pictures of lighting/ coloring on straight razors that might help?

Cheers folks! I'm stoked to finally be getting back in the chair and getting to work with this artist.

Dunno about straight razors, but for portraits, color or black & gray ....... Shane O'Neill Tattoos | Shane O'Neill of Infamous Tattoos and Spike TV's Ink Master

I'm currently looking into getting a portrait done. I wanted to get it done by ron570.com but I'm hearing a 2 year wait for an appointment. His work speaks for itself though.

That location isn't the most comfortable place to have ink applied
