Thanked: 1I have really come to fancy the liqueur Southern Comfort, especially on ice with a dash of sweetened lime juice. The stuff is extremely smooth, a bourbon base with caramel and spices, but not sweet like many liqueurs. It comes in 70 and 100 proof.
Now I need to go get the next thing on my list of things to try, a bottle on Tanqueray gin.

Had a La Aurora 1495 #4 and an El Padrino (Italian cigar) today. Not in much of a work mood.

Last night brought a charity cigar dinner at a local restaurant. A steady stream of great cigars from Tatuaje, interupted only by a huge bone in ribeye and a few Stolis (ok, and some decent Oregon Pinot). I'm not even sure which Tatuajes I had....Lynn and Don will have to fill in the details. In fact, I challenge them to do so. Spelling counts, and no peeking at the website. Great night....lots of razor, watch and cigar talk.

We're having a bit of a heat wave right now, which means it's martini weather, so I had a Beefeater martini with Vya vermouth, three drops of orange bitters, and three Italian olives. Beefeater is a grossly underrated gin.

A Savoy maduro, two black & tans, and the season finale (season 1) of Spooks; all while out on the deck. Now, it's into the kitchen to get to cooking. I'm thinking a three bean chili...

A friend stopped by and I smoked some of his C & D Berry Good in a Bauer meerschaum apple and then some of their Odessa in a Ser Jacopo Maigret (a VERY chubby billiard).
