Was putting on my socks for work this am and Buddy was pawing at my arm. I said ‘no Bud, Goin to work’.
And this was his look in response.

Are you sure that's not a 'Can't you hurry up and head to work so I can start getting into mischief while you're gone' Look?

Had a dog for whom that look meant, “OK go and I’ll poop in your shoes.”

I got that same look today. My 11 year old pup is limping from roughhousing with a puppy. Today when we walked I turned around at the end of the street, because of her limping instead of going on the regular walk. She was a bit hurt, then miffed.

Yes, Finally Travis doesn't have to have his tail bandaged The surgery was on January 21st and not counting the First Aid supplies I needed to replenish my Home Medic Kit I've spent $582 of my children's inheritance on him.

The remaining stitches were removed this afternoon but he still has to wear his 'Life Preserver'------

He sure seems happy to have the bandaging off. With that said, when the Vet would bandage the tail the bandaging would come off in no time so they tried doing kind of an X with the tape on his back. That did hold better but not great so I shaved his back with a DE and the tape held real well. The down side was that after a couple more changes his skin was getting raw so we abandoned that idea. I can't wait till his hair grows back to cover the X and his tail so he looks a bit more normal.

Anyway he's had his supper so now he gets some antibiotics. The tail isn't infected or such but as always the antibiotics should and will be given until they are gone. After tonight he'll have 5 more days with morning and evening meds.

I had a dog which ran off, got hit by a car and a good Samaritan picked her up.
Tail was broke, so the vet did the deed. She wagged her ass from then on and her tail did not damage things anymore.
    Happy ending!

Travis is a good dog and seems very patient about everything that’s happened. He’s a good boy.

One positive outcome of his surgery is that all the breakables on your coffee and end tables are much less likely to go flying as a result of an enthusiastic tail wag.
