We have a variety of rattlesnake in Ontario around Georgian Bay. The massassauga rattler’s bite, however, being a typical polite Canadian, usually only causes an allergic reaction for which the vets prescribe Benadryl for most medium to large dogs (and people) with an anti-venom reserved for small dogs or multiple hits.
