Yea, I lost my husky at age 9, 3 weeks ago. She just collapsed right in front of me. My guess is a heart attack. I've had other dogs I've had to put down over the years and you get over it for the most part but this was different. It was one of the most horrible things I've ever experienced in my life and I'm 73. I think if I live to be 100 that scene will be with me always.

    Sorry spendur, that sounds awful.

    Please accept my sincere condolences.

Losing a dog is one of the most profoundly emotional experiences I have had. It knocks you hard in the heart.

Whenever I read this kind of entry in this thread, the tears come to my eyes and the images of my lost fur children flood my brain.

We don’t deserve the depth of love and devotion they give us.

Nelson, I'm so sorry to read of your loss. That must have been a terrible shock.

I hope that soon the memories of that day are overtaken by all the good ones that came before.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

And don’t they clean up good!
Someone’s already begging for the treats in my hand while I took the picture.
