Few weeks ago my wife and daughter took a plane to Tartu Estonia. We have family friends there who had gotten 8 briard puppies some weeks earlier. I knew what it meant, but my lady said not to worry. They were just going there to see those puppies, not to take any one of them here. Besides they were too little to separate from their mother by then.
Yes right. Early yesterday morning we drove 150 km to Helsinki, took a ferry to Estonia and drove another 160 km to Tartu. Came back late yesterday evening with a 9 week old 'Aura'. Will get trained to be a tracking dog (disaster dog) for the volunteer rescue service (one of my wife's activities), as our oldest dog will get retired soon.
Now we have three briards. I'm not sure if it is a fine thing or not. Sorry for the poor pics. I took them last night.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

American Pit-Bull Terriers...a life-long dog owner, (multiple breeds), I came on them by accident. My daughter had brought a pup and was nineteen at the time. At that age, she was pre-occupied with the events of most nineteen year olds and took little time for her new dog. Observing this, I suggested that she drop the dog by my place, (fenced yard), each day to exercise and hang-out with my dog, which, she took me up on. In observing this dog, (I'd heard all the media-hype about the terrible Pit-Bull), I found that the dog had wonderful characteristics...liked people...playful...intelligent and seemed focused on me, almost like it was trying to figure out what I was up to, so he could interact.
A long shorty shortened...I ended up with the dog, became interested in the breed...researched them and rescued two more from being destroyed. As good as any dogs I've ever owned and nothing and I mean nothing like what they are made out to be.Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Thanked: 6We have two.
A Pembroke Welsh Corgi, named Angus, and a mix of what we THINK is yellow Lab and Great Dane, named Louis (pronounced the French way...named for Martin St. Louis).
Louis was rescued from a shelter. He's a BIG boy...north of 100 lbs.
Dogs rule.
One of my all-time favorite quotes: "The more people I meet, the more I like my dog."

We've got 2 mutts/shelter dogs:
Mollie is a GSD / Lab / Pit - believe it or not she's the best duck hunting dog I've ever had
Buddy is a boxer / pit that is probably the biggest mush you've ever met. That is of course as long as you don't **** off SWMBO, he is totally hers!
