Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried one of these old Dunhill petrol lighters:
BRIQUET ESSENCE *** DUNHILL*** PETROL LIGHTER * on eBay (end time 12-Aug-10 16:37:12 BST)
I am thinking of getting one for myself/girlfriend and would appreciate a quick review.
Cheers,
RobI love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

Thanked: 14Dupont lighter
Today, I casually found an ST dupont lighter..
From what I can gather online, it seems to be post-1984 as there's no auto. gas cut-off when you open the flint chamber, though I haven't been able to confirm if this information is correct or not.
It's from their "ligne 1" series, so there's no distinct "pling" sound when opening it, aimed to be more discrete.
It seems to be the large model and uses the red fillings.
All I need to do now is figure out what to do with it as I don't smoke, lol :P
found out that there's still a spare flint inside of the flint chamber too... Quite neat lighters, these

Vintage Lighters
This site is full of vintage razors, vintage pipes, and a whole bunch of other collectibles...but no threads on lighters. I'm still new here but I figured I'd give this a shot. I'm sure there are some smokers and/or collectors on here that have some awesome lighters. Anything from old Zippos to the four figure priced gold plated pieces I see in the cigar lounge display cases. I'll start off with my one and only. Actually if anyone can give me more information on it that would be awesome. The seals are bad so it's not functioning but I was told it could be worth a pretty penny and to put it in a safety deposit box without repairing it.
Win-Alfie P-800 electric (63.1g silver), stole the photo from ebay as I left my camera at my buddy's place.
