I dig the naked look of your bike dAtragnan. A beast like that doesn't need all that plastic crap covering up the muscle!

I have been watching this thread for a while to see if anyone else put any dirtbiking pictures. Once I saw I still was on the fence about posting a few. This is a little section of my life I'd call "Asshole years", I call them that because everytime I take a step, and feel the pain of the surgeries and surgical steel parts I say to myself "you were such an asshole!"
This crash was pretty brutal, closer to the end of my riding.

Takes a while in young man's life to figure out that he is not invincible.
Glad you lived through it.

I never took it, but I have friends that have. Everyone has said it's great. You can go from someone who has never been on a bike to roadworthy through the class. Don't get me wrong, you need experience to back it up, but that will come in time. Congrads on taking the leap into the world of 2 wheels, you will never regret it. I'm 46 now ad I've had a bike since I was 6. I started with a mini-bike with a Briggs and Stratton motor and moved up through the ranks. I've been through the dirt bikes, crotch rockets, and all other sorts of rides, but for the past 15 years I've been riding Harleys. My current ride is a 100 year anniversary Road King, and I love it! Have fun and keep the shiny side up!

I took the basic course and it was GREAT! If you don't already have your license ask the DMV about geting certified during the course and your instructor can sign off on your motorcycle certification and then you don't have to test again at the DMV! Best way to do it! If it's like the one that I took, it's a night session and a two session - 1 day skills ride. They'll have you doing the skills part on little Honda 250cc bikes that are great little machines. Quick and handles easy. I'd HIGHLY reccommend taking the course. Some insurance companies allow discounts if you take the course too!
