Thanked: 884I'd kill or cripple myself.
As old as I am now, I'll probably stick to riding 100HP rigids that weigh less than 500lbs in traffic.
Throttle works better than the brakes on those rigs.

I ride! I mostly do two-up riding with my wife on our BMW 2007 R1200RT. I also have a Plated 1997 Honda XR600R for getting out and getting dirty!
This month I am actually on the cover of the AMA magazine because I was interviewed for their 'Cheap Thrills' article about starting in motorcycing for under $2,500. I got my BMW a couple years after I began to ride. XR was first, then a 1982 Honda V4 Magna 750 then the RT! American Motorcyclist:
Here is a pic of the RT:

I bought my 90 Sportster when I was stationed in Fairbanks AK. I rode that bike all over AK, CA, KS, and GA in the 10 years I owned it. Alas my daughter needed to be dropped off across town, lived in Ancorage AK at the time, so I needed to get a "cage" to drive her to school... Had to sell the bike to get a van... Sure it was my choice but I have never been happy with myself for making that choice, even though I needed to...
Oneday I will get another Harley and hit the road again

Thanks Wullie. He took it to Harley, his insurance paid for it, and he filed charges against the trash. He is livid! Family first and the Harley second. I've always said, get as close as you want to it and look all day long, but don't f%#king touch! You're definitely right though, it could have been worse. At least he kept his temper in check.

Now as most of the ice and snow are gone it was time to dig my old mule from the garage after long winter.
Ready for the road once again. This faithful work horse has carried me and my lady across Northern Europe many times since 2005.
Not the fastest or most sexy bike there is, rather little old fashioned. Just like me.
