I've posted this elsewhere but it's still a great story.
Forgive the introduction, just be patient the humor will be there very soon.

Well the KZ is sorted. The problem was someone played around with the petcock and I was trying to rebuild it the way they did. As soon as I realized this and just went with how it was supposed to be I had no problem finding the parts I needed. Parts arrived 2 days later (thanx Z1)
Unfortunately I was sick so I didnt do anything for a week. Got it going but was basically out of gas so I took the scooter to work yesterday and dang nab it got a flat on the rear tire going home. Luckily I was mostly home and only had to walk it for about 15 mins. Today I took the bicycle cause I'm gonna try and get into shape (or at least less fat).

Hi guys , finally some days off ... as the Mrs is at Amsterdam I have the opportunity to take out the Ossa I restored a couple of years ago ... Thing is I always restore bikes and cars but once
the restoration is complete I always tackle another project ... (currently I have a 100M waiting , a 57 TR3 and a 51 Landy) - had to replace the gasket as it was leaking trans oil like hell - I'll take it out for a spin tomorrowLast edited by bartds; 07-24-2018 at 07:19 PM.
I was tryin' to figure out which is worse, ignorance or apathy...Then I realized I don't know and I don't care...

Thanked: 580Summer nearly here, I was looking for a new toy.
Was never a fan of Victory motorcycles, but with their demise this was too good a deal to pass on from a local Polaris dealer.
Victory Octane, basically a hopped up Indian Scout. A few less HP than the HD Street rod, so should slow me down a bit...Yeah, right..Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison

I don't believe that I've posted a pic of my bike at this thread so here we go:
Here's my ride--a 1996 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. I bought it 3 years ago and it had 17,000 original miles on it. The speedometer now reads--38,502. I didn't buy it to have it sit in the garage--
I'm hoping to get the funds and the logistics together to be able to ride to Tc's place next summer. For those that don't know Tc rode over 2500 miles (one way) to help teach me how to properly service my 'new' bike and to go riding with me. I do believe that he was able to check off at least 2 things from his bucket list while he and I rode. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
