Try any Japanese market in the refrigerated section! It is partially fermented soybean. you add a little green onion and whatever condiment that comes with the package, and then you stir it up quickly so that you get a consistency of snot with chunks of soybean and green onion. Only takes 10 seconds of rapid stirring with chopsticks and it is tasty!

Keep in mind that every brand or style will use different condiments and the beans will will range in size also. I prefer the smaller beans!

Great stuff. Thanks for posting that. I didn't have the guts to try this (no pun intended) when i was in the Philippines. I recently watched Andrew Zimmern eat it on his show. Now that I know it tastes like a chicken omelet I gotta try it.

Ok, just checking. I know I never talk about the food I eat as being the consistency of chunky snot...

Thanked: 586What grade of snot? Are you talking about the crispy ones I get after a day in the shop or the rubbery, sticky nose goblins or the clear, slimy mucousy type?
I was stationed in Virginia with a guy who would go to the Chow Hall and eat a bowl of whatever the guys at the table put in it if everyone at the table gave him a dollar.
