TV is for peasants. You should sit and read leather bound books or stare at yellowed maps or document your immensely important life in a gigantic ledger-looking book with a quill and ink!
At least that's what I'd say if I looked as much like a gentleman as your cat looks like a gentleman's cat.

TC
This is my cat, TC, stealing a sleepingbag..!
TC doesnt actually stand for Top Cat as you might imagine. It actually stands for That Cat, coz he was such a troublemaker when he was a kitten.
He used to do stuff like climb up the wallpaper, or climb up the back of the curtains. You'd hear this scratching scrabbling sound and the curtain would jerk around and then it would slowly turn round under his weight and he's be clinging on about half way up with his eyes closed tight as if he was thinking "I'm invisible, you cant see me, you cant see me...!"
So then my mum would spot him and cry "Get that cat!" And thats why his name is That Cat..!
He looked a little bit like a bat when I got him, coz his ears were so big..! But he looks like a little panther now, so thats all good! He basically grew into his ears! Hehe!
He's living down with my parents still, because there isnt enough space for him in the flat, and we dont have a garden, so it didnt really seem fair to drag him up there, much as I'd like to!
Anyway, here he is!

Thanked: 2284I was looking for a cat thread, and I think I found it! Looks like it needs a bump too.
This is Lucky. He showed up at our front door exactly a week ago. Couldn't believe how friendly he was right away, which eliminated him being a barn cat which there is a plethora of around this area. He was covered head to toe in burs and also fleas. We posted pics everywhere on the net, but no one claimed him. He's ours now. Burs are gone, into the vet for all of the above, and this guy fits in better than I could have ever imagined. Even my Cane Corso seems to be ok with him, except for when my wife shows the cat too much love.
Now.... I want some opinions. Just today my Mom showed a friend a picture of Lucky, and she declared him a Maine Coon. Not really a run of the mill cat, and also an expensive breed to buy. Vet says he's around 6 months, so still small and still intact, but the appointment is booked for the chop chop.
What do you guys think? Did I really have a Maine Coon wonder into my house???
Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Handsome little devil. Unless someone knows exactly what a Maine cat kitten looks like wait till he's full grown and BIG. But really, who cares what breed they are. They are nothing but a delight to the soul and if he is really tuned into you and yours anytime one of you are down or not felling well he will climb on you and take your worries away. My Lil Mama cat that gave me six kitties knew exactly when I was not in good spirits. She saw me through my chemo sessions in '07 by curling up on my stomach till I felt better.
ALways a good sign when a cat appears out of nowhere and adopts you."The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

My wife is the crazy cat lady. We are now down to 5. Was 8 cats but they live so long and die of old age. Now she found to strays so we are back up to 5. Being a clean freak you would not know there was cats in our house until you see one.
Destiny... Shes now 18years olds and still very spry.
Her two sons that are still kicking. The black one (Duncan) is now blind and cant hear so he stays on one level of the house. The orange one (Red)is having issues holding down food so hes getting skinny now. Both are 17 years old.
This one is A feral she found in the yard. She had been feeding his on the back patio and then when it got cold she brought him in. He was skinny but after learning he could eat any time he wants too he's gotten very fat. Named O2. I just call him the Fat One.
Last one is Cricket. Another stray the wife had been feeding out back. She came in the house about 2 months ago.
All our cats have been fixed! No kittens happening here. It's just Sharpening, right?
Jerry...
