Thanked: 171I was on a huge yerba mate kick for a while. That stuff is great. I ended up having trouble sleeping, though. It gives you so much energy, but not in a caffeine-y kind of way. It's more 'clean' energy, if that makes sense.
Lately I've been drinking coffee, but more for the taste than the caffeine. I can easily do without the caffeine, but that's like drinking n/a beer. Not gonna happen.
I wouldn't mind getting into teas, but I wouldn't know where to start, and I just don't have the time to do the research, with my new straight razor addiction and all.Last edited by pjrage; 05-12-2009 at 04:47 PM.

One cup of coffee first thing (home roasted) in the morning then a cup of Darjeeling in the afternoon.

Coffee. Usually black, sometimes with milk if I need it cooler for quick drinking. Lots of it over the course of the day. Lots. And, yes, lots. From tiny cups. Turkish or French Press.
I also like the yerba matte, and used to have the bombilla and silver straw, but it got all of a moldy at one point... It works well in a French Press, though.

Thanked: 84Glengettie Tea (hot with milk ! )
Cafetiere for ground coffee.
We call that metal coffee boiler thing a Greek coffee urn not a Moka. They work well though.
We usually drink instant coffee in the UK. It is pretty bland but quick.

Thanked: 278I like tea and coffee. Nearly always black. It's a shame most people add milk (or even worse, milk froth) and end up hiding most of the taste.
Although I drink lots of instant coffee I don't think it even deserves that name. The only real coffee is espresso or equivalents like Turkish.
As for decaf, I'd rather have a glass of dehydrated water, thanks.
