Thanked: 1936Looking for some hands on input in regards to the Glock 43. My wife has a 26 and a s&w lady smith airweight. She loves her Glock 26, but prefers the weight of the airweight. Going to tey to get one in her hands this week.

Hey Scott - I use the Glock 43 as my EDC now. I used to carry the Kimber CDPII (still do sometimes) but the glock 43 is a solid firearm. Replaced the front sight with a fiber optic sight, polished all the internals, polished the barrel, added the Pierce magazine extenders and shoot the Hornady 115gr critical defense ammo through it. The recoil is easy and the trigger delightful. It's on of my top "go to" self defense weapons. Good luck!

Scott I highly recommend the Glock 20 in 10mm, HEHEHEHE,, but I can tell you this ever since I got the wife her Ruger LCR, she thinks its perfect, doesn't weigh anything plus revolvers are the simplest thing in the world, even in a stressful situation it will be fine, loaded right plenty of knockdown up close. I even carry it when its real hot outside, but don't tell my Glock that! Tc

Thanked: 101G43 is good gear. I want to shoot the new Sig P365. It is right about the same size/weight as the G43 and has double the rounds.

Thanked: 1936Well, she really liked how it felt in the hand, but she has a concern of being able to rack the slide later on in life (she has carpel tunnel). I think my best bet right now is to send her Lady Smith ot the S&W Performance Shop. Otherwise I am going to have to put her in a lesser caliber and my personal bottom line on self defence round is 9mm.
