Thanked: 2027Maybe in a straight line but they were actually quite dangerous.
My Roush is one of few factory road cars that will pull 1G on a skidpad.
With the suspension and 14 in. brembos I have no Qualms about running the car well in excess of 130 MPH (when conditions allow
at hwy speeds I get 20 MPG,but under 8 lbs of boost only 2
Todays perf cars are far and away better than back in the day.
But I do love the american muscle of the 60s/70s.

92 Ford mustang LX 5.0 with a t-56 6speed and 3.73 rear gear. 24lbfuel injectors 73mm c&l intake flowtech longtube headers to moroso spiral flow mufflers going to side exit pipes love the sound get compliments almost everytime i drive it. Deleted ac and smog. lowered 1/5in aftermarket upper and lower rear control arms and cc plates up front. Defintely a grin factor not as much as that 460 but hey i'm still young who knows what it will evolve in to, and as of right now on the highway i get about 28mpg in the city though its more like 12 mostly cuase of my driving stlye. i love redlights and high revs. I have a few pics can't seem to get them to post though. it's also the one in my avatar and its calypso green, which earned it the nickname from a few of my friends the Snot Rocket. they luaghed at till i took them for a drive.

My daily driver... almost 100 miles per work day.
'69 Single Port. Early low backs for seats and slammed til about 2.5" from front beam to asphalt. I been known to scrape the road reflectors from the highway... Hopefully by the end of summer it will be a 1776cc with dual carbs.

Thanked: 1185You Texas boys do love your GM products. When I lived in Abilene, I lived not far off a fairly busy road. On the weekends I played what became known as "The Suburban Game" I'd sit on my front porch with a cooler full of beer and every Suburban that drove by I'd have to chug a beer. Needless to say these games didn't last long before I had to go in the house and rest.
The older I get, the better I was
