Yeah, the online chatter is usually pretty pathetic, especially on the consoles. I always mute the voice chat and then use a separate voice program like Ventrilo to talk with my friends during games.

TF2 looks fun but I've never played it. I can tell you that Portal is an amazing game and worth the purchase itself.

I managed to get away from WOW in april
a week or two ago i realised that evony takes atleast as much of my time
so at the moment i dont have a spesial game to play
exept the addictive game of ebay

Racing simulators mostly. Forza 3!

I was wondering if there was a thread like this kicking around. Glad I found it . I'm a PC gamer (getting the rest of my parts for my new box tomorrow). I mainly use Steam (TF2, L4D2, etc.) but I wouldn't be against playing other games. If anyone wants my steam name to friend me send me a PM. I average a few nights a week.

I have ALL the unreal games on the PC, Prey, Devil May Cry 3-4 but my alltime favorite:

Quake Wars: Enemy Territory.

It's awesome. Just amazing game especially if you get to play it with a friend or two.

@claytor -- what parts are you getting? My PC is a few years old now (C2D, 8800 GTS 640mb) and I'm looking at upgrading after Xmas. Really considering a Raptor drive and 64-bit Win7.

@LX -- I played Quake Wars for a little bit and lost interest. I probably didn't give it a proper chance. I loved Quake originally; played Q1 and Q2 all the time and while I played Q3 a bit, I had switched to Unreal by then and have been a total fanboy since. I love UT3 but it's a shame they left it so buggy and seem to be more focused on consoles and Gears of War.

I'm not a huge racing fan, but I have bought all the major Gran Turismo games and can't wait for GT5.

Before CoD4 I was a Quake 3 maniac. In between the two, I played Age of Empires 3 (with all the expansions), and I think some Star Wars Galaxies for a couple months too.

I heard they were supposed to come out with an AoE4 at some point, and I'd be all over that. The AoE's were the best RTS's ever made IMO, just like CoD4 was the best FPS ever made.

I never got into UT3 -- but it sounds like you're about as into that as I was into cod4.

now... it's all WoW... I don't have time for anything else. The game is like crack. I couldn't quit if I tried.

I am sooooo locked into Evony right now. I spend way to much time, but love it.
