2008 Kawaski Concours 14
Love it.
But have to say, I still really miss riding the '68 Triumph Bonneville I have apart with its pieces wrapped in oil soaked cloth, sitting in storage. Took it apart and put it into storage after riding it for one season just before moving from PA to VA with hopes of doing a full restoration on it. Been sitting in pieces (all its bits wrapped in oil soak fabric) for nine years now...
With a family, step-children with college tuitions, and no space for a workshop, I have no more illusion to the fact that it'll probably be another nine years before I could even realistically consider being able to restore it so will probably sell it this spring.John

Thanked: 96Suzy VZ800.
Best story I have is the time I rode her from my apartment to my parents house to garage her for the winter. On the freeway, at night, heavy traffic, speed of traffic maybe 85-90. I'm following some bigass SUV. Suddenly they swerve into the other lane (2 lane/divider/2 lane). I immediately see why. Some genius is STOPPED on the FREEWAY waiting for an opening to perform an illegal U-turn through a policeman's break in the divider. I had all of about 20 feet to swing into the next lane. I swear the bike was going sideways at one point. Managed to execute a 2 pt lane change at 90 mph and get off at the next exit to let my heart remove itself from my throat while I bought a cup of coffee.

Thanked: 5That's some scary ****!
Couple of months ago I was coming home (Going WAY to fast!) checked my speedo (Stupid I know), looked up and saw a red traffic light! On the plus side in the wet at 80 my stopping distance is half what it should be at 70 in the dry!
Scared the daylights out of me though!
