My favs would be a few from Sierra Nevada (Pale Ale, Celebration, Big Foot, and Torpedo) New Belgium's "2 Below", Guinness, Pislner Urquell, and pretty much any IPA. Tucson has a local brewery called Nimbus that also makes some good beer that may or may not be found that far east. Jimmy, if I recall correctly I think you said somewhere in a post you are in Florida, if so you might be able to find a beer by a brewery named Yuengling. I tried it while I was in Tennessee, not bad but no one sales it here out west.

Yes I just recently did a 6 pack of it.... a couple of bottles at a sitting A co-worker told me about it and it is a very interesting beer. An unusual and distinctive flavor but a pleasing taste.

Thanks to all who have replied thus far. I've got a list to go with the next time I make it over to the exotic brew store.

Tiger beer from Singapore, also Stella Artois, Tennents lager, McCewans Export. Sometimes an occasional Singha when on holiday although I do find them a bit salty with the result I get through more of them than I should! And a good cold pint of Guinness in memory of my Father.

duvel, hoegaarden, leffe, Leinenkugels suset wheat, yuengling, magic hat #9, and pretty much anything from sam adams

if any of you are in NJ, look into a bar called Firewaters. They have something like 101 beers on tap, and another 50 or so bottled. Good times.

It really depends on the time of year, During the warmer times I prefer something lighter like Hoegaarden but during the warmer times Murphy's Irish stout or Fuller's London Porter. For desert I'll always take a Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

Granted there are those beers that I will drink anytime I can get my hands on em, I don't care what the weather is like.

    BJ's PM Porter
    Leffe Dubble Brune

That last one I can only get when someone visits the other side of the pond. Can't find it here in Cali and I'd give a major organ for some.

I go through phases with beer. As a young American soldier stationed in Germany, I was able to drink some fantastic local beers. Beer that was so fresh, I honestly don't think I can ever have the same experience in America. I used to go to a local tavern near the base, and beer was cheeper than bottled water and tasted like the tap was connected to the brewhouse up the road. I traveled through Europe and had many beers that just thinking about it now makes me ashamed that I even have a bottle of Coors in my fridge. I enjoy a Pacifico Mexican beer now and then, Pyramid Apricot Ale that is around in the summer (not sweet), Moretti Italian beer, any decent Marzen style or imported, and local brewed beers at the local brewhouse.
For the last year or so, I have been enjoying lagers quite a bit. On a recent trip to New Orleans, I fell in love with a cold Abita Amber Lager on a warm humid afternoon. A dirty bar filled with local drunks, smoke hanging heavy in the thick air, and a bartender who serves Budweiser out of a dirty cooler behind the bar. Smoke in mouth he asks me what I want, and I see many drinking the Abita. I go for it, and five or so beers later I thought that there could not have been a better beer on earth. I live in Ca so getting it fresh is not likely, nor do I want it here; I only want it in New Orleans on a hot and humid afternoon. Carlo

Smooth, creamy ....not to heavy as guiness...slightly lighter (at least to me)..Kinda hard to find here in New Jersey...In New York City it was a lot easier to find, but the hunt continues !!!! LMAO ... give it a taste !!!CHEERS !!!!!!!!!
