(Wow, this thread is a blast from the past)
Yes, I have started using Firehouse Wacky tacky as well and it is a superior wax in my opinion as well.
I shaved off my 'stache for the summer last year, but I'm going to see (again) if I can handle it in the heat this year and keep it going. I started growing in September so I have six months growth so far and it is starting to act like an actual handlebar should I think.

I have been growing my handlebar for 6 months now. I tried Clubman once and it really didn’t work at all and tastes awful! But I did keep the nifty comb that came with it.
From months 1-4 I used Oregon Wild Hair. This is a great wax for a light hold or a shorter ‘stache. It has a pleasant scent and is easy to use (No need to warm it up). I found I would lose some shape on the warmer days. Now days I only use it for a quick touch-up for a run to the store.
For me the hands down winner is Firehouse Wacky Tacky. You need to warm it to use it, but once it’s in there, you’re good to go all day. Just the other night I went to do some laps at the local pool and I still had my handlebar after 30-40 minutes, and that was from my morning application!!

Thanked: 17Wacky Tacky for sure, I found tossing it in my pocket for a half hour before application helped, that and layering it on not just diving in with a big clump.

Well, it looks like I have to try the Firehouse Wacky Tacky then.

Thanked: 15Moustache Wax - Recomendations?
Gents - your recomendations please.
When I'm wearing my 'tache on the long side I use a bit of wax to avoid it becoming part of my diet. I've been using Clubman wax which is fine for keeping the 'tache under control as long as it's more or less in it's natural shape. If I want to straighten/turn-up the ends Clubman just doesn't seem to be up to the job. Can anyone recommend another wax that'll gve better hold?

These are the three that I have tried that I can recommend.
Firehouse
Oregon Wild
Hndlebars
I have also tried Clubman and Lucky Tiger, but they don't do it for me.Last edited by xman; 02-27-2012 at 07:44 PM.

Last time I had a handlebar I used pure beeswax. It held great but was a pain in the ass to remove.
