If your not sure, your body will tell you, too much nicotine can result in a headache. There are times that I think to light my pipe and just don't want too, if I've been smoking all day. There are days I probably smoke too much, like when I step in the shower and realize I still have my pipe in my mouth.

No hard fast rules and it probably changes day to day.

yeah, I do have the free time throughout the day to do what I'm doing, and to be honest, I tend to smoke 1/2 bowls alot, I just mentioned it to the guy in my local smoke shop, and he looked at me like I had ten heads, so I figured I'd ask..... I find beyond 4 gives my a bit of a sore throat but 4 is fine... I guess it's my magic number for now

no, rawness at the end of the night.... yesterday was a little like that, I was hanging with some friends who pretty much chain smoke cigarettes, and I had a few pipes too many...

Gotcha and I would consider 4 bowls a moderate day.

Hey it's all personal,

depends on you. With the pipe (or cigars) it's you who tell how much you need or want to smoke. With the cigarettes it's them who tell you.

I always tell myself I'm only going to have one, but then it seems a shame not to enjoy the sunshine a little longer with another bowl. Or enjoy the sound of the rain falling with another bowl. Or read One more chapter with another bowl. Or have a cup of tea with another bowl. There always seems to be a good reason for another bowl. Time doesn't usually allow for a third.

My wife dragged me out to NYC so she can get her window shopping fix. So I ditched her when I Spyed a Davidoff shop in Mid town Manhattan. I looked around at all the crazy expensive Pipes and stuff and got me a tin of GL Please Maltese Falcon and proceeded to their smoking lounge. A winner blend in my book very rich blend with dense smoke output. Rich and satisfying Latakia and oriental tobacco on a red Virginia backbone for some sweetness. All made for a nice afternoon visit to the city.

Or......Get a bigger Bowl pipe. I have a couple of big bowled pipes that last a long time. That way I can start and stop when I need to but prolong the whole smoking experience.

Yes! I knew there was a reason to buy another pipe, I just couldn't think what it was.
