You are correct, pipe smoking is a challenge, hence the reason that not all people smoke a pipe... It's not like picking up a cigarette and striking a flame to it...

Cigars have their own challenges, but not nearly like a pipe...

The thing that a lot of people forget, and I think I have "hit" on this before is "tobacco is to be enjoyed"... The problem that the human race has is we tend to make things "habits" not and enjoyment...

Nothing better then to sit back after a long day, or on a break during a long days work and strike a match to a good pipe with a nice beer or dram of whiskey or scotch and ease into the evening...

Now it's time to weigh into my pipe rotation, yes once again... Corn Cobs... I have a 24 day rotation of cobs for the same price of one piece of briar... When they sour, toss and get another new one...

The most expensive cob that I have would be a country gentleman, $10.00... But I still like my briar

Most of the tobaccos i smoke are kind of similar to each other to be honest, and not usually aromatics which I gather tend to ghost a bit more. Is that correct? I bought a pipe and a 10g sample of cannon plug on the same order and just being in the same box as the tobacco made the first couple of bowls in the new pipe taste pretty floral. It seemed that the outside of the pipe had a floral smell strong enough to interfere with the taste of the smoke. Fortunately it faded away after a few bowls.
On the opposite....the Ghost of Latakia is far stronger generally. That's why ya keep the lats separated.Nothing worse than smokin yer favorite Cherry Bomb only to get a mouthful of Cherry Latakia.

In my boredom, I decided that the horse barn needed some cleaning. We had chickens, turkeys and other birds in there two years ago, now, nothing...

So I cleaned the floor the best I could with what I had, put up a few shelf brackets to store some plank wood on and have decided that the area (32'x16') WILL make a great man cave/feast location (beer, pipes and BBQ)

After doing all this, I indulged in a 100% organic apple from my trees (no pesticide or fertilizers for at least the past 10 years).

After, it was time for a Mini-Church Cob with a Forever Stem with a blend of Mac Baren's Virginia No. 1 with a pinch of Toasted Black Cavendish... It helped some with the bite..
