Could they have been the company that produced 'Flying Dutchman' ? That was the same cut, and I think also a 'roll your own' cig tobacco. It was the first pipe tobacco I smoked @ 18 years of age, and I got tongue bite so badly I didn't smoke another pipe until I was 28 ! Cigarettes are like sucking on hot air compared to pipe tobacco, or a good cigar.

I think not but the way companies are structured these days you never know.
Produced by Theodorus Niemeyer LTD. Another Dutch tobacco co. The original I don't believe is in production anymore certainly not for US consumption. As far as tongue bite certainly the fine shag cut will burn faster and shure wont help in that regard.Don't drink and shave!

Thanked: 1160Damn Jimmy...I've never met you but I get this distinct picture of you in my head as looking a lot like Sailor Jerry who if nobody knows him is an Iconic tattoo artist who was a pipe smoker. Kinda like the Norman Rockwell of Tattooist and the man who made classic tattoos the in thing. Cheers man !! And to Jerry and Norman wherever your spirits may be roamin .

Yes it would be, I think the last time I saw prices, a pouch was about $9.00...
Now for a "shag" tobacco with a nice hay aroma and taste... Red cap is one that I like... Less than $2.00 for a small pouch... I guess you sould say it would be my PA or Carter Hall...
It's also a good one to blend with...Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...
