Now, I know smoking isn't the healthiest habit ever and can indeed cause a long list of medical problems but BLINDNESS, come on, now we're just making stuff up. What's next? Smoking causes testicular cancer? Syphylis? AIDS? The Ebola Virus?

It'll all change in a few more months 1OldGI. They're talking about making the warnings to cover 85% of the package and what doesn't have a warning plastered on it is to be olive drab colour. In my eyes it's the perfect colouring for those of us who like to go bush and stay out of sight...Mind you they'd probably smell the tobacco even if they couldn't detect a flash of sunlight off the packaging.

Ignorance is Bliss !....We were better off before health organizations started telling us all the things that could kill..then we truly lived life fully.

Agreed, Nanny states should come with warning labels. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? And when did it become OK for them to tell us out right lies to disuade us from doing something they didn't want us to do. The warning label has been on cigarettes since 1961, I get it. As a grown man, I've examined all the information and decided that I like to smoke a pipe. I also have been known to consume large quantities of raw shellfish, frequent (and large) helpings of pork, sometimes more than the social cocktail, yes I like salt, chili and cheese on my french fries. If any of that changes, I'm completely capable of policing that on my own and don't need a government that can't tend to its own affairs, tending to mine.

Mick, over here, the next big thing is autopsy pictures of life long smokers' lungs (of course they've been Photoshopped to appear even more ghastly and increase the shock factor). I mean honestly, come on, is all that crap necessary?

Well I'm off to be a happy idiot a struggle for the legal tender. Whitehall Grand National loaded with Old Joe Krantz is the breakfast smoke. Aloha! And oh yeah, here's a classic from Denis Leary which I think is fairly relevant

We've already got the lungs, gangrene, mouth cancer, etc images on cigarette packets here already. Soon they are going to be bigger and we'll have a wider selection to collect...Bit like the U.S baseball cards I reckon . And I live in the biggest nanny of the nanny states that make up this cotton wool country.
