First pipe monday morning: One of my Les Woods

You have so many nice pipes there Tom. I think I should maybe take better care of the few that I have. Mine suffer much abuse at my hands, I treat them too much like a means to an end rather than the beautiful works of art that they should be.

by my mind...pipesmoking is culture.
It is not important how much pipes you own.
I think there are a lot of vintage cheap pipes in the market that works very well.
I also think, brands like Vauen produce all kinds of pipes, cheap pipes and also expensive pipes.
There are also manufactories like Jirsa (Czech Republik) who produce excellent pipes and sell it for excellent prices.
Each pipe is different but each pipe likes some periodic maintenance.

I give my pipes a clean before/during/after smoking,but that is as far as it goes. I don't polish them or try to keep the deep black of the stems deep black. I'm thinking I should. Afterall, I restored my fathers Dr Plumb back to close to it's former beauty. I should show the same respect for my own.
I agree that pipe smoking is a culture, one that I am proud to be a part of in fact.

No wonder I'm attracted to it....I got champagne taste and a Nightrain wallet heh heh. Nice pipe indeed. Really like the silver with that rustic looking woodgrain.

Stanwell produced different kinds of this pipe.
This is the rustic one, maybe it is also called rustified? (in German "rustifiziert")
The second one is deep black.
If I smoke enough cigars I get some cigar-ash to polish the Sterling Silver
