No pipe today, but I ordered a 50g tin of Chocolate flake and a pouch of granger. Both thanks to 1OLDGI. I'm looking for some glass jars for storing tobacco, any hints of where to look? I'm counting down the minutes until my new baccacy is here.

No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

well I feel I need to give my impression of balkan flake. maybe it is just me but to me this tastes very similar to Peterson's old dublin. not that I mind of of course, just my opinion. kinda like a flake version

To all the English smokers... Please take no offense to my opinion... I too smoke an English, Balkan or Oriental... To me 90% of them seem to taste the same...

You have to try harder With few exceptions i smoke mostly English/Oriental blends, and i've found there's big differences. Actually there must be hundreds of English blends available but i'm not going to try them all, i think i've found the ones i'm happy with: few SG's, J.Germains and Old Dublin. Of those exceptions i like blue Capstan, Erinmore Flakes and maybe Kendall Cream Flakes.

However. Just got back from work last night and the next 10 days i can stay at home. Ta-da. Started my day with Erinmores from Kilimanjaro meer pipe while taking youngest puppy out.

And as it's beautiful winter going on, here's just few pics from the neighborhood:

And here's my whole home village. Took this pic about 3-4 weeks ago when the sea wasn't yet on ice:

I have to confess that i'm not sure about the number of people here. Maybe 100-200. Actually i live in an island just outside the city of Turku and there are several small villages here. There are several islands around but only three with any population (Moose Fields, Raining and Two Times in English). We used to be independent but that was maybe 30 years ago, and nowadays we are regionally part of the city. Although the distance to mainland is only about 10 km it still feels like a different world.
