Thanked: 101Smoked some 1Q in my basket briar this evening while I grilled ribeyes for the family. The kids hung out and apparently adopted a stray kitten whom they have dubbed "Mittens"..........

Omar King Poker~Black Rusticated~Start to Finish...
Well since I can't seem to keep an Omar King in my collection... I commissioned Eric to make this lovely poker... This is my fourth Omar and IT WILL NOT leave my collection (DonV)
Still needs a final buff...Last edited by NoseWarmer; 12-15-2012 at 04:23 AM.

Thanked: 32It is a good one. Nicely balanced and full of flavor start to finish.
Thanks, it's one of my favorite shapes. Hangs well, feels great in the hand. Externally well-made. Internal drilling could be better (maybe consequence of difficult to work morta?), but she smokes real nice in spite of it.
Davorin was real easy to deal with, very gentlemanly. Free morta tamper he made and nice leather sock came with it.

Thanked: 32The draw is great, just doesn't pass pipe cleaner test. He slightly overdrilled the shank bore and was too steep. Then ran a second bit at another angle into the bowl or maybe even drilled from bowl to shank bore. Basically just a little messy geometry. Doesn't bother me and I have read another report that their Davorin didn't pass a pipe cleaner either. No gurgle, burns from start to finish. Without a doubt this will be one of my favorite and most smoked pipes.
