Some haunted bookshop in my Roma for the ride in today. Great pics etom and sailor. It's always cool to see events and military hardware around the world.

Hello Everyone!
I know that many of us are in search of good books to read while smoking a pipe, and I've just found a gem. It's called Pipe and Pouch, The Smoker's Own Book of Poetry. I found it in iTunes while searching for books and have added it to my collection on my iPad. It is a collection of poetry and stories about the appreciation of our hobby, compiled by a fellow pipe smoker named Joseph Knight. I'm not sure if it's on Kindle (too lazy to check right now), but it seems like a very enjoyable read. I'll list a few of the names of the poems in this almost 300 page collection.
Ashes - De Witt Sterry
Brief Puff of Smoke - A Selim
Choosing a wife by a Pipe of Tobacco - Gentleman's Magazine
Confession of a Cigar Smoker - Anon
Dreamer's Pipe - The New Orleans Times Democrat
Farmer's Pipe - The George Cooper
Geordie to his Tobacco Pipe - George S. Phillips
Invocation to Tobacco - Henry James Mellen
Last Pipe - The London Spectator
Latakia - T.B. Aldrich
and so on, and so on.....
If someone has already posted on this book, I'm sorry for the repeat. I just thought you all might be interested in enjoying a book like this, since I know I would.
I'll leave you with the first poem in the book.
With Pipe and Book
With Pipe and Book at close of day,
Oh, what is sweeter, mortal, say?
It matters not what book on knee,
Old Izaak or the Odyssey,
It matters not meerschaum or clay.
And though one's eyes will dream astray,
And lips forget to sue or sway,
It is "enough to merely be,"
With Pipe and Book.
What though our modern skies be gray,
As bards aver, I will not pray
For "soothing Death" to succor me,
But ask this much, O Fate, of thee,
A little longer yet to stay
With Pipe and Book

If anyone would like, I've created a PDF of the book. This should allow anyone with an e-reader (iPad, nook, kindle, etc.) to read the book. PM me and I'll send you a copy.
