Meanwhile those of use who enjoy pipe tobacco, cigarettes (clove or otherwise) or tobacco in any form are subject to government sponsored price gouging and social condemnation.

I'm reminded of a kid who used to work for me. When we'd deploy to Saudi he'd buy a bundle of bidis and go to Eastern Washington University and sell them to ditsy college girls as joints.
It's a very complicated issue for sure.

There is a cannibanoid spray already approved in the UK, France, etc. and undergoing US trials and should be available at some point soon: Nabiximols - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks Moo. I like the practicality of small (internal) bowled pipes. They save on tobacco which is expensive here. I'll get around to making a hard case for my Clay pipes one of these days, so I can cart them around safely for use.

Tracking a deer with my daughter on a very steep hillside in the dark. Black and Tan in a Czech pipe. I dang near lost it in the leaves when I set it down on a rotten stump to field dress the deer.

Don't you have laws that specify your Deer must be on a leash...

You might think that that green strap is a leash but it was used to tie to a tree to keep it from sliding further down the hill. Not the tree!

You got something against tethering trees to the hillside with a Dee'anker then...

A friend at work sent me a picture of his deer he got last Monday. He had a larger yellow strap that he used to drag the deer. I had fun teasing him about a leash!

Those of you that know me here know that I have been experimenting with a pipe. I have to many samples. I put one in a Nightcap tin because it is cool and forgot which one is in there. Oooops. I had that one in another Czech pipe while cleaning the deer. No pictures because I couldn't think of one that might not offend someone. It is in the freezer!

I wouldn't be offended of pics of a nicely prepared Venison steak with Morels and an after supper pipe. Just sayin.....

New Guy On Deck! Got my inaugural Petey in the mail today. The motherload of Codger Burley should be here tomorrow but my half pound of G&H Happy Bogie Sliced was in the package with the pipe. In my limited 30+ year experience most tobaccos hailed as uber strong are normally not up to the hype. I read similar remarks about OJK that is plenty stout for sure, but it's my all day every day smoke. One smoke in, I'd have to say that the hype was actually pretty close on this one. It's a great tobacco and has that acrid taste to it that will make you say, "That's one damn strong tobacco!" If you're familiar with Five Brothers, this one has a similar taste but is easily twice as strong without the shag cut. How strong is it you ask? I'm certainly no nic wimp. In fact I'm ingesting nicotine in some form (dip and pipes mostly but the occassional stogie is not out of the question) most of the day every day. My initial assessment at least is that this is most assuredly a bedtime smoke. I ain't saying it's strong or anything but half an hour or so after smoking a pipeful I inexplicably broke a sweat and felt VERY relaxed (no I was only half a PBR in.)
