I think I can help. Get a long Churchwarden pipe, drink through straws and eat from the other side of the table!! That will help you keep away from all that fantastic badness!

my Grandfather taught me how to smoke a pipe back in the '70s. {also taught me about scotch, and how to empty the bottles of good stuff into the cheap bottle and refill the good bottle with cheap stuff for the spongy relatives who couldn't taste the difference and were hung up on brand names }
He said "a pipe gives a wise man time to think and a fool something to put in his mouth".
About 60% of my modest collection were his pipes. He spent some time travelling around the world and brought back pipes from all over. My very first pipe he gave me is a small one from Mongolia carved from ram's horn. i'll have to dig that up and post a piccy.
Last night was this one labelled "hand carved briar" which he brought back from India if i recall correctly. Filling was Erinmore again. Will be for a while as in Australia it costs $40 for a small tin at the discount tobacconist. Good thing i really enjoy it.
Many of his pipes i inherited have no name marked on them, and i have no idea of, but just enjoy them for how they smoke.

It's Chunky Pipe Day! So I decided to lead with two of my finest. I'm starting with the Butt Ugly Rhodesian on the right loaded with C&D Billy Budd. It's a bit cool this morning so I thought some latakia would be good. The Doodler, which is not only chunky but will hold about a quarter pound of tobacco will be the lunch time smoke.

Smoke was a local tobacconist's black cavendish. Simple but enjoyable.
