Sorry for the delay with a reply, Mick has already explained. Cherry Ripe are always on my list when people go to Australia. They're so good I can't see why they only have them there. They cost a fortune in the UK to buy online. Might be an urban legend but I've heard of people getting out of Driving Under the Influence by saying they ate too many Cherry Ripes and it was the fruit and sugar fermenting that put them over on the breathaliser. Any truth to this Mick?

Thanked: 1185C&D Old Joe Krantz in a new (to me) Bent Edward's Estate. This one isn't as old and crusty as most of my estate acquisitions so the clean-up was fairly quick. Among OJK's many accolades, it's also a good "ghost remover" It seems that whatever ghost is present in any pipe will be gone after a couple bowls of this stuff. No ghost in this pipe. It's smoking like a champ from smoke one.

Thanked: 983I've heard that myself, but I think you'd be spewing up chunks of the stuff if you tried to eat enough of it to put you over. It wouldn't work as an excuse with the police here anyway, so you'd be better off just enjoying getting drunk and eating cherry ripes in moderation .
No photo's oday, but to put this post back on topic, todays pipe is my Peterson system with Lane 1Q. I feel like a cherry ripe now. Might go get a few from the shop...

Thanked: 1185Ever stumble across a pipe that you didn't even know you still had? Did that last night, this is a beauty too.
This one is a Zettervig (Danish Handmade). I'm loading it with University Flake this morning with a cup of coffee on the side. The older I get, the better I was

Edward's Bent, C&D Old Joe Krantz
Having grown up in South Tampa and learned most of what I know about pipes and tobacco on Saturday afternoons hanging around Edward's I've always had a soft spot for their pipes. Great quality, reasonable prices. The older I get, the better I was
