G&H Happy Brown Bogie in a Peterson Kinsale. It seems the more I smoke this pipe, the more I like it.

FWIW, I myself coined the term Codger Burley. These were the blends all the old codgers smoked when I was a kid (PA, Granger, Half and Half, etc.) The classic over the counter scoop and serve burlies of the golden age of American pipe smoking. Happy Brown Bogie (being English) is not a codger burley but its good stuff just the same.

Default Bought my first pipe today

Can't wait to receive it. It is a Polinski Briarwood pipe-stunning. Gets great reviews. I occasionally smoke a cigar, but a close friend of mine has been begging me to purchase a pipe. He recently purchased some new tobacco that he is raving about and would like someone to smoke with so I finally ordered one. I can't wait. If anyone has any advice on break-in, maintenance or any other topic regarding pipes, I would love to hear it. I have no experience with them whatsoever.

I love my cigars, because I could never pull off the look for a pipe. Hope you enjoy your new purchase.
