Thread: Pipe of the Day

Had a nice bowl of Squadron leader in a Viking bulldog while watching this state burn last night. No matter what side of the issue you're on it's a sad state of events. Squadron leader seems to surprise me every time, I forget about it, find it, smoke a few bowls and love them and then it goes to the back of the shelf.

Well no pictures today . Maybe later tonight. But just smoked some C&D berry nice courtesy of Mr nosewarmer. And it is good. Might have to check out some more C&D aromatics

I work at a law firm and they closed the courthouse early yesterday because of the threats. No pipe last night, too busy trying to beat the snow and get all my furniture moved to the new house. Good news is that all I have left is an old rocking chair and a desk.

So..most O you fellas I see on here I see ya on the other threads I frequent so, with that said Have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. And for those of you who are across the lake and maybe don't celebrate Thanksgiving...it involves lots of Coma inducing food so here's to wishing you were here. On the porch now with some Shortcut to Mushrooms in the mini sandblast. Been hearing .22 gunshots and 2 ricochets a block over. Kind of troubling. Just heard sirens so hopefully they sort it out. Not too keen on errant gunfire while the kids and I are out front.

Today was a new one for me, Pirate Kake in the Peterson meer-- I think I have a new favorite! From some of the reviews that I read, I was expecting it to taste like a tire fire; but while this blend is super heavy on the latakia, it was really smooth, almost like smoking a good scotch. Don't get me wrong, it has a strong flavor-- but not overpowering. The burley adds a nice little nicotine kick, but not as much as I expected. It rubbed out easily, smoked super-cool, and burned right down to the bottom of the bowl.

I just bought 4 ounces from P&C, I'm eager to see what a little cellaring does to this bad boy. Anybody else tried this stuff? What did ya'll think? It seems to be a pretty divisive tobacco.
