The little one is a S&W Bodyguard 380. That gray button on the side activates the laser sight.
The 1911 is from Metro Arms in the Philippines

Just pulled the trigger on my first tobacco order in a LONG time. Rest assured by the weekend, I will have on hand two of the world's finest pipe tobaccos bar none (YMMV, IMHO, etc.) Both Cornell and Diehl, Old Joe Krantz (in my estimation the best pipe tobacco on the market today) and Billy Budd (again in my estimation, the only thing that can even touch Old Joe Krantz in a heads up race).

If you don't love perique, steer clear of OJK, it's 25% perique the other 75% is mostly burley with a dab of red virginia thrown in for good measure. The result is brilliant. A blend that pushes the envelope of over harsh but never quite gets there. It's very cigary (even without cigar leaf). I once heard someone describe this blend as "If I chopped up a couple Cuban cigars and put them in a pipe, this is what it would taste like." As a career nicotine addict I also appreciate the vitamin N punch. This stuff provides a vitamin N jackboot in the face with every bowl. A good strong cup of coffee and a bowl of this stuff on the way to work and I'll be able to hear my beard grow. Strangely enough though, despite it's cigary borderline overharshness, it is easily and most enjoyably an all day smoke. I've smoked this stuff extensively over the last several years and it is my desert island pipe tobacco for sure.

Billy Budd is an entirely different animal but every bit as good. This one does contain cigar leaf as well as a very nicely done latakia content. This is classified as an English blend but I think I'd do it more justice than that. This is the best English blend you've ever smoked with about 40% more body and substance. The latakia content (IMHO) is perhaps just a skosh above condimental level but definitely not at the "smells like burning tires" level. For my tastes, it doesn't take much overdoing of latakia to ruin a good blend and this comes nowhere close. The latakia is noticeable but there seems to be so much more to this blend that the latakia is just standing in the background.

If you haven't tried these two, do yourself a favor and order a couple ounces of each with your next order.
The older I get, the better I was

    Thanks OldGI,

I just got in a load, too. I was running low on Billy Budd (a staple for me). I will have to try Old Joe Krantz!

The three new ones in acending order of liking:

Jackknife Plug: Powerful and smoky/spicy but, without latakia. A bit much in my usual fat shallow bowls. Liked it better in a billiard after a little drying. Not very fat or complex. This is not nearly as strong the reviewers on pipetobaccoreviews.com would lead you to believe. I will smoke it all, but probably won't reorder.

Bow Legged Bear: This stuff will tear your head off. Don't smoke it on an empty stomach! It smelled noxious in the tin. Not for the novice... more for 60 year old men with burned out palettes and serious nicotine habits. I love it, but only in small doses and when I have an urge for a demon butt. Comes in crumble cake form. I would call this an English blend on steroids. Will probably work equally well as a mosquito/woman repellant. A keeper!

Pirate Kake: 70% latakia and fantastic. Just enough other stuff to keep it from being boring. If you are one of those guys who tries a new tobacco and thinks "OK, but could use a little more smoke" this is for you! I only ordered 4 ozs. as I was exploring but, will reorder when it runs out. I highly recommend this one!!
