Probably 'Old Hat' for those who are into and serious about their guitars and expanding their playing abilities however I thought that I'd share these:

For All the Ozzies and Me Too

So it started on the drive home from work with this:

I couldn't help but remember that when they first came out in the States, I wasn't a big fan. I know right, but I was young and dumb and like my Pop used to say, "You can't get to old and smart 'til ya pass young and stupid" Needless to say, over the years, I've warmed up to them nicely. This song in particular with the long bagpipe breaks which I really dig.

Then I started to think about the Aussie bands I heard all the time while walking down the street in the Philippines. Lots of Aussies vacation there. Pretty women, good beer, beautiful weather and a certain morally casual attitude prevails so what's not to like? The bars constantly played Austrailian bands and many of the local bars were owned by Aussie ex-pats. Here's some that stand out in my memory.

And certainly no posting of AC DC would be complete without Jim Breuer (from Palm Harbor, Florida by way of Long Island...uh I mean Longuyland)

Sorrow is an angel that comes to you in blue light to show you what is wrong just to see if you'll set it right......I wanna get it right this time.

Where do the souls of unrealized dreams go? Lol. This makes me proud to live where I do.

I wish that I could have seen these guys live. I have one of their albums with this song on it and of course the studio was able to adjust his voice for the intro but I really like this.

Ah Tommy Emmanuel! The reason I bought a Maton guitar for myself was because I hoped one day to play like him. I'm nowhere near it yet, but I suppose at least I can play a few tunes...And it's good to see a few of the Aussie bands make an appearance here too.

Been listening to this band lately. I like their music.

We listen to a lot of music, but mostly streaming radio it seems these days.
Radio Paradise is our favourite, a mix of old and new, and everything else in between. No ads, and listener supported, which we do. You can stream straight from the website or there are a variety of formats and bit rates on the listen page to suit your connection which you just drag and drop into your music player, like winamp etc. The 64k AAC+ is the one we use, excellent quality and doesn't use too much bandwidth. A great way to hear new artists, and old favourites as well.

A great old song that the Steve Miller band did, here is the original. and I think, better version of Jet Airliner.
