Steve Vai at the Hammersmith Apollo was a great gig, one of my favourite. And seeing Paul Gilbert at the Mean Fiddler as well, that was awesome. I was so close to him I could press the buttons on his pedalboard..!

The best: B. B. King at Bumbershoot in Seattle in 1989!
Also Nirvana before their break through.
Pearl Jam, Swamp Mama Johnson, 7 year bitch and a bunch of others...
I miss those days...
In Norway: Woodlegg Odd and Frode Alnæs (they are on youtube).

I saw Walter Trout, who's one of my favourite blues players, at a tiny little gig in Surrey as well. That was a great night!
I went with my Dad and we were right by the stage again. He kept wandering over and peering at us and neither of us could work out what he was looking at. We spoke to him after the gig and he pointed at my dads shirt and was like "Yeah, I was trying to read what was written on your shirt. It made me laugh!"
My dad was wearing this T-shirt with "Give Peas a Chance" written on it...!
We got his new album autographed as well, and got to say Hi, which is always great fun with players you like. He was a really down to earth guy as well, and interesting to talk to.
Good times!

Most memorable concerts. Been to so many but a few are etched:
1st: Grand Funk Railroad, Circa 1971, Shea Stadium (with my Dad)
1972, Elton John, Hollywood Fla, Sportatorium with big sister!!
1976: First Earth Wind and Fire concert, Hollywood Fla, Sportatirum
1976:Miami Baseball Stadium: Eric Clapton and Poco
1977: Tampa Stadium, Lynard Skynard
Many in between but on to:
2008: Borgata Hotel, Earth Wind and Fire. Great weekend.
2009: Borgata Hotel, J. Geils Band. Had not seen them in many years. Another great weekend.
And the priceless one:
Circa 1986 Garden State Arts, Doobie Brothers. My wife and I got soaked in the rain. Took wet clothes off in car for ride home. Get stopped by NJSP. Me and wife in underwear: her covered by towel me in boxers. Explaining to the trooper was interesting but he had a good sense of humor.
I love concerts. My wife has the stubs from the first ones we ever went too.Last edited by Mvcrash; 10-11-2010 at 10:57 AM.

i have been to many concerts in my younger days. late 60`s,70`s seen just about every rock band you can name. seen the stone`s,the who, lead zeplin, pink floyd, to name a few. the one i remeber the most is not a good memory. i was at the who concert at river front in cincinnati when i think it was 11 kids were killed. a old girl friend use to work at a ticket outlet and we were able to get tickets to every concert and did not have to wait in line. dang those were some crazy days. now i listen to new country.
here`s what happened the that night at the who concert. me and 8 friends were in the middle of the stampede. none of us were hurt.

the statement went if you remember the 60`s you were not there. there a lot of blank memery`s from those days lol. i am glad there over but to me that`s was the greatest music of all time. i did my share of drugs but would not recomend it to anyone now. been drug free for 25years. just something most of us did back then. dave

When Deep Purple got back together in 84' that made my year. I've seen them a number of times since. There are so many more awesome shows, like the Moody Blues on the "Long Distance Voyager" tour in 81' at Blossom Music Ctr. Jethro Tull, Heart, Robin Trower, Paul McCartney, Rush, Yes, Rory Gallagher, Neil Young, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent. I can go on.
