I was in touch with Yobokies about an avaitor type watch build, but he's dealing with a smaller face size than what I'm after. He could put in an inner bezel to fit a larger case size, but I don't really like that look.

If I hear about him doing bigger faces in the future, and if I don't find a Type B in my price range before then, I'll definitely consider it.

Glad to hear you like the Wester, they really made some great razors.

I love the Christopher Ward C15 Henley Automatic. It's a bit out of my original price range but it think I can rat hole enough money to get it in a month or two. I mean I only graduate high school once. Here's a link. Swiss Made Automatic Watch

Christopher Ward makes great watches. I have the Trident GMT. The least you have to do with Swiss manufacture and the more watches you make the cheaper you can sell them. Not having a retail and middleman chain and no rep also helps. Probably the best bang for buck can be found with Invicta.

The Christopher ward looks like a great watch. A solid, proven Swiss movement in an elegant case, with a sapphire crystal.... Hard to go wrong if you like the look I'd say go for it... You will have the watch long after you forget what you paid for it.

If you haven't picked anything up yet someone over on watchuseek has 3 nos vostok komandirskie watches for 56 bucks each including shipping. If the cases were other than brass I would have bought one. (i don't like yellow gold. I'm pasty white and it makes me look jaundiced.

Actually I bought a C15 from Christopher Ward and I honestly have only taken it off to shower and sleep since it came in a week ago. I'll post pictures later.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

I definitely recommend picking up a Christopher ward if you have the chance/cash. I had a local jewler look it over when it came it, he said it was one of the best watches he'd seen in a long time and with good care it should be ticking after I stop.

Assuming by the "uniform"comment and you avatar, you are going in the military? The "standard" watch in my day was the G-Shock bycasio.. It's may functions and ability to take combat punishment was outstanding. After you do a couple deployments folks buy the glam seiko or roles dive watch so they can look li spec ops...The legend was you could buy passage with a nice dive watch in a 3rd world if you needed to get out fast...That was before advanced extractiion techniques were prevalent. Saying all that though, I wear a seiko dive watch with a steel band for civilian wear and switch out the steel for a hardened rubber for outdoor work.

I'm starting NROTC Marine Option next year. The school is pretty strict on what watch you can wear with uniform (It confuses me to no end why). They say no dive watches, no multi-dial faces, no sport watches (I asked and they said they mean with a rubber strap). Basically you could have a plain watch with a leather strap, they have an amazing program but are kinda over the top about their watches.
