Thanked: 983My oath they hurt. I've got myself once or twice, and they sure don't tickle. Once, sometime back now, I was doing a bit of trick stuff, paper cutting out of someones hand, cigerettes etc before a big party. It was a bit of a hit with one of my mates, who demanded a repeat performance the following day. We'd been up most of the night drinking and I was still in a bit of a sad state, so I said no. He was quite adament that I had to do it. I always knew he had a high pain threshold, but after I missed one too many times I had to call it off he was bleeding by then and laughing about it telling (yelling at) me what a shit of a shot I was (he had recently returned from Afghanistan fighting at that time)...He had a point. Performing when you have no distractions is easy. Performing under duress can only be pulled off with proper training.

No they don't feel good, but it brings back some memories of when I was a kid, believe it or not my father and I would actually have little bullwhip fights with cheap Mexican whips for fun. We wouldn't try to hit each other very hard but, when you got one in it left a mark which left no doubt as to when you hit your target. Looking back it was a pretty dumb thing to do but I have to admit it brings back some really good memories of fooling around with the old man, and proving that you could take it also.

I let my brother play with the 7 footer when I first got it. He tried to crack it and somehow managed to hit me across my arm.
It didn't cut but hurt like hell.
Also left a huge plaited red mark for days. People thought I got a new tattoo on my arm lol.Shaving_story on Instagram

Thanked: 983Hey have I ever mentioned a little sport over here we call 'Whip-Boxing'. Two people with whips face off to beat the pick handles out of each other. safety gear consists of a 'Drizabone' (I think they are called Slickers in the US), a fencing mask and a wide brimmed hat, with the fencing mask being optional. Gloves if you got 'em.

It also reminds me of an old poem "sticks and stones can break my bones, but whips and chains excite me"......never forgot that one.
