Got to remember that one. ' Where did you get THAT?'
'Oh, it fell off the back of a Lorry!'

My dad worked for the City of N.Y and some of the Italian guys had "connections" and a variety of items were always being offered at cut rate prices. My first watch was a Timex he got in that way. Yea it was like a private wall mart them to you.

Thanked: 5I'm probably the only person who thinks so, but I think Swatch was off base and daft to introduce that cheap-o Moonswatch. Looks like a Cabbage Patch dolls or Beanie Baby kind of a marketing idea.
"Collect them in all the colors."
Still, most are jumping on the Moonswatch bandwagon.
I'm just awaiting Rolex to introduce its own line of cheap-o plastic, battery powered Submariners. I am holding out for a yellow one if they do. That way I can have a Yellow Submarine(r).

To me this whole moon-swatch mania is evidence people don't buy watches for any intrinsic value. It's all about the name and what that is worth. Those watches are selling on line for almost 2 grand from watch outfits and private sellers are getting 3-4 grand for them.
Mindboggling to me.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
