Sounds like time for some more razors! Just saying!

I'm quite envious of you folk that get to wear nice watches. I can't wear them as my wrists always seem to come out in rashes when there's something around them, be it a timepiece or even a shirt cuff. Were I to not have to this almost magical ability to look scruffy no matter what I'm wearing, I'd possibly be inclined towards owning a pocket watch. As it is, I'd just look a complete tit

I could have written almost all of that, with the exception of the fact that I can wear a watch with either a leather or fabric band, provided there is no metal that contacts my skin. I will get a rash from almost all metal, surgical steel piercings, stainless watchbacks, jeans buttons (i have a bit of a tummy, and when I sit down it sometimes rests on my trouser button - gosh that sounds terrible, but j am really not that big).

There is a solution to skin issues. You can get a Titanium watch, its hypoallergenic. Of course gold is too and there are tungsten watches and ceramic too.

I'm too honest. If someone were to ask about my watch I think I'd lose any credibility I may have mustered when the first thing out my mouth is to enthusiastically sing its hypoallergenic properties.

That assumes that you have credibility to start with.

Compared to most other brands of watches a Rolex is a good investment.

Very true indeed. At least that's one area where my naturally slovenly appearance works for me. Saying anything vaguely intelligent comes as a complete surprise, whereas clumsy acts of stupidity are so expected as to warrant no comment.

I have a watch (mind you its not super quality or anything) that is made out of wood entirely except for the obvious metal parts and the lens. It is astonishingly light and I usually hate wearing watches but this one I am fine with wearing. It is called a "Tense" and made in Canada and can be found on amazon. I got it for about 100 and I get more compliments from that watch than any other in my collection. My particular one is made from Rosewood, Maple and Ebony.

    Got this pocket watch :

Lecoultre, before Jaeger-Lecoultre, silver, late XIXe.

Also got an Omega, second pocket watch, a family one, silver. But this one is broken, and I don't have the money for reparation those days.
