Ya it's a shame. I carry around a box cutter usually. Mostly for work but it's just big enough to scare potential jerks away while still small enough to not get in trouble.

Oh ya, it happened. Pics may not be the best, but I've got proof! Got it about 1600 yesterday and before the smoke had cleared at the range the sun was going down, made picking up brass a little tough for sure and I'm sure I left a couple pieces. Shoots like a dream. I tried mixing ammo in the mag from four makers and the only time I had any issue was with two squib loads from Remington. Shoots 200 gr lead handloads, Remington 230 gr HP, 230 gr Winchester Ball & Corbon 185 gr HP's. Proves to me that after another outing for final proofing it will have earned a place by my side.

The Kimber next to a big brother Colt for some size reference.

Must have more mags though...shooting with one mag sucks bigtime! Why in the world would Kimber only supply one magazine?
I'm sure you already know the answer, they know that you will buy more , at the price set by them.
+1 to Wilson Combat mags, I've been using them in my Colts, from the beginning. Never had a mag issue.

Oh ya, I'm a wilson combat mag fan...there is at least a dozen in the safe for my other 3 full sized frame 1911's. I should say 2.5 full sized 1911's as the slide to the 4" springfield champion is at Trijicon having sights installed...
Nice!! Kimber recomends a break in period. I'm not a fan as I prefer out the box 100% but it works. After teh first 200-300 rounds and then a good break down detail clean you will notice a difference. also chip mc mags work greak in my kimber's.
I knew you would like that one, I know I love my Kimber Pro Carry II. +1 on the Wilson mags, but I have a couple of the stainless Kimber mags and never a problem from mine.
Congrats.

I am about half way there on break in. Dang...gotta shoot more.
