Thanked: 1936I rinsed it out with some CLP before I shot a round and after I was done which was about 300 rounds. I cant put a gun up dirty, so it got stripped down & cleaned proper before it made it back to the safe. I understand what you are saying, dirt is like a lapping compound & I agree, but I can't run a gun dry intentionally or put it up dirty.

Thanked: 1936Yep...glocks are like ak's & i have a lot of respect for them. Its what i bought my wife for ccw. Working on a trade for a s&w airweight for her though cause she feels like her g-26 weighs her purse down too much...then i get the glock!

Ruger LCP is lighter and smaller then the Smith airweight plus easier to carry. I own the Smith model 360 and love it but even 38+P for SWMBO will be too stout. don't even think about 357 for her. I love the weapon but for the other half go with the LCP. Easier to reload plus they make a ten round mag for it also! Did I mention the LCP is a 1/4 the price of the model 360 airweight Smith?

Thanked: 1936I'm not on my phone now, so I can put together a complete sentence without draining my battery from it taking so long. One hand typing on a phone is not real fun and my left thumb still requires light bandaging.
For me, Ruger + poly frames= They make great steel wheel guns and rifles...I'm just not a fan of their poly guns. One of those personal opinion things.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Re: How many people CCW here?
Yep. Throw on some Wolff extra power recoil springs ($20 for a set of three different weights) and the durned thing turns into a good little shooter. I'd like an airweight Smith but the price on the LCP won me over. The sight pretty well blows but a quick scrub with sandpaper then a touch of white paint followed by a couple coats of hi vizibility yellow paint to make it easier to pick out and helped a lot.
I can nnow get groups at 10 yards instead of patterns .

Thanked: 1936Yep, love the Wolf springs. The new flat wire Wilson springs have me intrigued I must say.
New question for you guys: What semi-auto .22 pistol do you guys think is the best right now? Thinking about getting another one.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Find one that has most similarities to you main gun. I had a Ruger Mk. 2 when I was carrying a Glock. They don't look alike at all but the angle of the grip is similar.
I've heard a lot of nice things about the Ruger 22/45. Now I have a Colt Ace, to go with my other 1911s, and I doubt that I'll ever sell it.
